What a Night

Jazz Game,

- What a night...We squandered a 21-pt lead, Okur gave us hope by a clutch three, D Will two consecutive jumpers forced the OT, AK 4-pt play lifted us to Win.

- However, we should not be too happy since we waste such a big lead, but the fact that we stay focus at the end deserves some compliments.

Back-to-Back, Win and Lose

Jazz Game(s),

- Brewer did well in both games. As said earlier, he is the X factor in playoff.

- After losing to Suns, I guess we need to be realistic and be mentally prepared we would play the whole playoff wihout homecourt advantage.

- With current rotation system, AK does not have enough time to warm up and play well. Look at his stats in last 5 games, awful. I don't blame him, but we need to figure out how to use him better.

Others,

- With some expecations from the public, Marbury looks to be a non-factor to the Celtics at the moment.

Good Day for Jazz

Others,

- A good day for Jazz, even we are not playing. Both Blazers and Nuggets lost! However, our remaining schedule is really tough. Let's hope we perform on par with our standard, and...get the Division Champion!

- I start to believe that the NBA Marketing Team loves Greg Oden (other than LBJ). Evidence? Even this play can be the No. 1 of today game - link. Come on...

Jazz Took Down Thunder

Jazz Game,

- Let's hope Okur is okay with his eyes!

- I never saw a no-look to be so "complete". You will know what I mean when you see the one by AK in the game recap - link.

Others,

- oh...just found out Jason Hart is in Nuggets...

Does Oden Deserve all the buzz in Press?

Others,

- In another usual win of Portland, Oden got all the press after his return to the game (with limited contribution). Does he deserve all this buzz? May be in the future, but not Now.

- Brook Lopez, what a game for a rookier - 23 pts, 5 rebs, 8 asts, 3 stls, 3 blks with just 2 TOs.

Jazz Returns to the Winning Track

Jazz Game,

- D Will, 8 assists with 8 turnovers, does not look nice.

Others,

- I think the following is not some wise words from a superstar...

"That was just being confident. Being down one and taking a 3, a lot of people wouldn't have done that," James said. "I'm one of the guys who would do that. I knocked it down."

Jazz Lost 3-Straight

Jazz Game,

- Can't say much, perhaps the players are out of gas after the 3OT game. Even Wade said he did not havc the energy in the loss of another game today.

Others,

- Pops Mensah-Bonsu seems to fit well in Raptors. Let's see whether he can put up consistent performance.

- 154 pts by Suns today

Loss in 3OT; Good Lesson to the Young Players

Jazz Game,

- The below pretty much sum it up. It is a pity but I hope the young players in the team could take this as a very good lesson and don't make the same mistake in this year playoff.

"We did a how-to on how to lose a basketball game, pretty much," Williams said. "Fouling when we don't need to, trying to score when we definitely don't need to, instead of using our clock. It wasn't very smart."

In regulation, the Jazz led 107-100 with 55 seconds left, before getting outscored 7-0. Chalmers made two free throws, Wade found Haslem for a dunk, and suddenly it was 107-104. O'Neal blocked a dunk by Paul Millsap at the other end, and James Jones made three free throws in the final 16.3 seconds.

"We played right into their hands," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said.

It was just getting started.

The first overtime began with Korver and Mehmet Okur making 3-pointers, and the Jazz were up 115-107 with 1:45 left. Back came Miami -- Wade found O'Neal inside, scored the next four points himself, and Haslem tied it on two free throws with 22.1 seconds remaining.

12th Straight

Jazz Game,

- D Will does not have hot hands? No problem! As said, we have too many weapons.

Anoterh Comeback Win; Another Away Win

Jazz Game,

- 11th Straight Win

- Jazz has too many weapons, arguably more than Lakers in terms of scoring. When we are in full team, we are difficult to beat.

- The recent stretch of games by D Will is MVP-standard. We could just moan about why there is LBJ, who is (unfairly) athletic with physical strength. NBA will probably make him get the MVP, according to the "scripts".

10th Straight is Nice; The Comeback is Even Better!

Jazz Game,

- I think Jazz fans are all happy to see the resilience demonstrated by Jazz tonight. They were down by 19 at one point and they got a nice comeback and sealed the win. Fantastic!

- D Will has a sick cross-over, between-the-legs jumpers in Q4. What a showoff... :P

Others,

- Vince Carter had a fantastic lay-up in tonight game. Check this out, No. 1 basket of today - link. CJ's facial on Nene is also highlighted in Top 10.

Shaq vs Dwight

Today most interesting quote regarding the game

"I can't compare him to Dwight, because Dwight is No. 1 right now," said Magic reserve center Marcin Gortat, who had eight points. "When I'm getting hit from Dwight I just feel, if I get hit on my left shoulder, I feel it in my right finger."

He may have indeed get hit by Dwight in training, a lot. :P

Surprise of the Day

Mavs lost to Thunders - w/o Durant and Green.

What to say, other than "Thank you very much".

02 March, 2009

8th Straight Win

Jazz, the hottest team in the League. Period.

Seven in a Row

Jazz Game,

- A win in an emotional night.

- Brewer is on fire. We need you to play with the same intensity throughout the rest of the regular season and playoff!

- Okur is red hot.

- Coach Sloan has spread the mins well. After all, we will face an energetic Warriors in a back-to-back Away game tomorrow!
