Some Recents Actions in NBA

Spurs sign Ratliff - Spurs did well to fill the Big Guy hole by signing McDyees, Ratliff after losing the Rasheed signing war & Oberto in Jefferson trade

Heat don't match Cavs' offer for Moon - LBJ gets one more help for the ring. Moon is a very good wing player.

Orlando Magic near deal with forward Matt Barnes - Wow...if that's true, Magic would have another reliable 3-pt shooter!

Steve Nash is staying in Suns - I like Steve Nash as a player and it is always entertaining to see him playing. But the fact that he may not get a ring in his career is somewhat sad.

Millsap, Price Both Stay with Us!

Hey Jazz Fans! Great News! Both Millsap and Price would stay with us! The last important thing we need to do is planning a right trade involving Boozer!

There is a repor that Marquis Daniels is likely to go to Boston. Oh man, Celtics gets another good player. They really want the Champ back!

Blake Griffin Proved He is Good

Blake Griffin was playing great (according to ESPN report) in his first "pre-season" game.

Have seen a video clip recorded right after his game, I feel like he does not have the All-Star look, yet (only personal opinion).

I mean, Boozer is good (sort of), but he does not have the All-Star look and hence his limited apperance in All-Star game.

Blake Griffin has the potential to be better than Boozer. We will see.

By the way, rumour said that Clippers is also interested in AI. Well, that does not seem to be a good idea. Baron Davis, AI, Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon, Al Thorton (etc...) all need ball touches.

People said that Lakers having two players with Big Ego - Kobe, Ron Artest, may actually hurt the team. But if AI does join Clippers, this team may have bigger Ego. Will be fun to watch those games in Staples Center.

Blazers 2nd Attempt to Take Advantage of Jazz

I think Portland is trying to rip us off in the three-team (Jazz-Blazers-Bulls) trade talk (we all knew we were not in a good position). KOC did not buy it. The deal broke and now Portland made a 4-year USD32-36m offer (with hefty signing bonus) to Millsap.

The best scenario now is that KOC can find a (kinder) team that is willing to do a trade with us on Boozer, and doesn't want to rip us off that much. If not, I am not 100% sure that KOC would match the offer. I hope he does, but I am not sure.

Rasheed Stayed in the East

- Rasheeeeeeeeeeeed to Celtics! wow! I think it is a bigger news than VC to Magic.

I don't know those good and (relatively) elder players just love the Celtics franchise, KG(?) or the high possibility of getting a Ring in the less competitive Eastern Conference, they just join them one by one. From PJ Brown, Sam Cassell, Stephon Marbury (I don't want to show any disrespect by not listing him) to Rasheed Wallace.

Any players fit the above profile would like to join Jazz? : ) Well, to be fair, we once had Derek Fisher.

- The rumour of AK trade with T-Mac, I guess it is probably, rumour. I don't see why Rockets need AK when they have got Ariza. Their styles are alike and (probably) Ariza has better 3-pt shooting...

A Busy Offseason

Well, the offseason starts not that long and we have seens some confirmed blockbuster trade, as well as some interesting rumours.

- Iverson said he is interested in playing with Grizzilies. A commentator said it right - who in the world would say "I'm interested in Grizzilies". I think it is a sad story for the ex-MVP, and I hope he can find a place that he could redeem himself (a little bit).

- Hedo may have a U-Turn, from Trail Blazers to Toronto. His family loves cosmopolitan. Well, valid reason. And that's why Utah is not easy to attract some Stars to come.

Boozer, Okur, Korver. All Staying. Millsap is the Winner.

Boozer, Okur, Korver. All Staying.

That's something we don't expect much when the summer starts. And now it became true. Awesome!

However, not sure I'm stupid or not but the clear intention that we will match Millsap's offer may make other teams unnecessarily offer a crazy contract to him, and hurt us financially, at least for the coming year.

So I guess Millsap is the happiest man here (so far). He is waiting other teams to push the boundary of Jazz by offering something crazy enough (e.g. USD10mln) to hurt us financially, but not "out of the sky" (e.g. USD12.5mln) just in case Jazz can't offer and Millsap would sign with the team (which he does not fully deserve yet). It's all Game Theory and number crunching.

So in any case Millsap is the Winner.
